D.C. Boys Choir, a group of musically talented young male students, established to help develop self-esteem by nurturing their creativity through artistic expression.
The D.C. Boys Choir has gained national and international recognition with honor and distinction, under the leadership of Eleanor Stewart, a retired vocal music teacher of the District of Columbia public schools.
The D.C. Boys Choir was established in 1993 and is one of the premier music groups in the nation. The D.C. Boys Choir has a long and distinguished list of command performances, from Harlem to the White House and throughout Europe. They have appeared at the Kennedy Center, sung as special guests of the Washington Men's Camerata and for the 14th Annual Choral Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The choir represented the nation's capital in Beijing, China at the pre-Olympic Music Festival, June 25-July 6, 2008.

We request that boys possess outstanding discipline. To apply, the student must bring at least two recommendations from their school, music teacher or church choir director. Boys ages 9-13 should be prepared to sing simple ascending and descending scales, or they may bring music or sing without accompaniment. Parent support required.
